ARARAT Vaspurakan means “noble land” in Armenian.
In the 9th century, Vaspurakan was one of the most important principalities of Greater Armenia and owed its prosperity to the ruling Artsruni dynasty.
At that time, Vaspurakan was considered the Promised Land – a paradise on earth.
The Dukes of Vaspurakan were among the greatest builders of their time: they built ten cities, thousands of castles, fortresses and churches in an astonishingly short time.
Maturation: 15 years in oak barrels
Taste: Elegant with spicy notes, oak bark and dried fruits.
Soft, rounded sweetness with a noble character.
Long-lasting, balsamic finish with a slight bitter note.
